The 16ch Shoulder Coil is a receive-only phased array RF coil designed for optim
The 16ch Shoulder Coil is a receive-only phased array RF coil designed for optimum signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and uniform coverage of the shoulder anatomy for use with GE Healthcare Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scanners. The coil receives magnetic resonance signals generated in hydrogen nuclei (protons) in the shoulder while blocking the high-frequency magnetic field applied by the MRI scanner at specified timings. The received signals are amplified before being transferred to the MRI scanner through the coil’s system cable. The amplified signals are processed into tomographic images of the shoulder anatomy by the MRI scanner. Images are typically generated as axial, sagittal, coronal oblique slices and include coverage of the Humerus, Humeral Head, Labrum, Labral Tear, Glenoid, Scapula, Clavicle, and Rotator Cuff regions of the shoulder anatomy. During a shoulder MRI exam, the patient lays in the supine position on the MRI scanner table. The rigid Posterior Array is positioned beneath the patient’s affected shoulder. The flexible Anterior Array is positioned on top of the patient’s affected shoulder. The 16ch Shoulder Posterior Housing Pad and 16ch Shoulder Pad provided with the coil promote patient comfort and facilitate patient positioning. Table Straps provided with the MRI scanner may be used to minimize unintended patient movement during the exam.

The SynChron™ Wireless Vector Gating System for CT is a product used to acquire electrocardiogram (ECG) data from a patient and to generate and supply ECG waveform and triggering pulses to the CT scanner to aid in cardiac scanning. The SynChron™ Wireless Vector Gating System for CT includes a Physiologic Acquisition Module (PAM) that connects to the patient using ECG lead wires (Figure 2-2), acquires ECG data, processes the ECG data, and wirelessly transmits the data to the Receive Interface Module (RIM). The RIM will wirelessly receive data from the PAM, create analog ECG waveform and trigger pulse mark, and interfaces with the scanner. The ECG waveform and trigger marks can be seen on the scanner console.

The NeoCoil 3.OT 8-Channel Shoulder Array Coil is a multi-element phased arrayreceive only coil used for obtaining diagnostic images of the shoulder in MagneticResonance Imaging Systems. Compared to predicate devices, the submitteddevice offers easier patient setup and greater SNR due to its compatibility with3.OT MRI scanners. The submitted device consists of semi-flexible foam covered housing, consistingof eight antennas. The antennas are uniquely positioned with the appropriateoverlap to cancel out mutual coupling effects from adjacent antennas ordecoupled from an adjacent antenna using a transformer. Pre-amplifierdecoupling reduces any remaining decoupling between the antennas. The coil is held in place over the imaging area via a cross body strap. A systeminterface cable connects to the coil at the top of the housing. The flexible foamcovered housing along with the body strap enable the proper positioning on thepatient before laying down and holds the coil in place while scanning is beingperformed. To ensure safety, each antenna is equipped with active and passive transmitdecoupling circuits. Active decoupling is achieved via diodes that receive signalsfrom the scanner to turn the coil to a high impedance state during system RFtransmit. Crossed diodes are installed on each antenna acting as passiveswitches. These passive switches provide additional safety in case the activecircuitry does not receive signal from the scanner.

SyMRI is a post-processing software medical device intended for use in visualiza
SyMRI is a post-processing software medical device intended for use in visualization of the brain. SyMRI analyzes input data from MR imaging systems. SyMRI utilizes data from a multi-delay, multi-echo acquisition (MDME) to generate parametric maps of R1, R2 relaxation rates, and proton density (PD). SyMRI can generate multiple image contrasts from the parametric maps. SyMRI enables post-acquisition image contrast adjustment. SyMRI is indicated for head imaging.SyMRI is also intended for automatic labeling, visualization and volumetric quantification of segmentable brain tissues from a set of MR images. Brain tissue volumes are determined based on modeling of parametric maps from MDME images. When interpreted by a trained physician, SyMRI images can provide information useful in determining diagnosis. SyMRI should always be used in combination with at least one other, conventional MR acquisition (e.g. T2-FLAIR).
